A short, sourced FAQ on two Behrin Naidoo projects, the August 2026 NUSD pause, and the public overlap with STIX — the OTC firm founded by Taranveer Singh Sabharwal (Taran). Claims of misconduct are labelled alleged unless they are dry public facts.
Rug-pull claims are treated as allegations on this page. Neutrl’s named CEO is Behrin Naidoo. Taranveer Singh Sabharwal (Taran) is founder and CEO of STIX, which co-led Neutrl’s April 2025 seed. A Neutrl fundraising deck from that raise describes him as “Founding Advisor, CEO of STIX,” and describes a partnership with STIX for OTC execution at scale. The deck is not published on this page.
As of 3 September 2026
About US$27 million liquid versus a previously cited ~US$137 million June book. As much as roughly US$110 million is unaccounted for in immediately recoverable liquidity — it has not been established that the full amount was lost.
BA Labs called the OTC/off-chain book higher-risk in February 2026, six months before the freeze (more than 87% of reserves through Fireblocks in that review).
STIX co-led the seed. Deck (not hosted): Taran as “Founding Advisor, CEO of STIX” and OTC execution partner — not Neutrl CEO. CEO is Behrin Naidoo.
On-chain (BlockTempo): about US$3.51 million pulled from Curve NUSD/USDC, then 96 seconds later the pool was written to NUSD’s denylist. Peg held because the AMM was welded shut. Not attributed to a STIX wallet.
A blockchain ledger forensic investigation is underway — address clustering and flow mapping around the NUSD/Curve/denylist sequence. Unpublished findings are not on this page.
FAQ
Why does this site exist?
Investors and the public are looking at two Naidoo projects and an alleged Neutrl reserve failure in one place, with sources. The STIX site is a broader founder and SAFE record. This page is only Neutrl and Fyde.23
What questions are we raising?
Not verdicts. The open questions are: what happened to NUSD reserves in August 2026; how much of the previously cited book is liquid; whether an alleged team-wallet Curve LP withdrawal is proven (it is not); how to read the founder overlap with Fyde; and whether STIX was only a lead cheque, or also the OTC desk the NUSD book depended on. A blockchain ledger forensic investigation — address clustering and flow mapping — is underway; unpublished findings are not on this page. Documented fact is not the same as proving that Taranveer Singh Sabharwal, or a STIX wallet, caused the pause.
Is this accusing a proven rug?
No. This page talks about an alleged rug pull. HTX ran a speculative “rug pull, hacked, or scammed?” headline; community pieces repeated similar language. Neutrl’s own later update, as reported, said the pause was not the result of a smart-contract exploit, hack, or code vulnerability. None of that is a court finding, an official unwind, or proof of theft.86
What is Neutrl?
Neutrl is a DeFi protocol that launched NUSD, a synthetic dollar meant to tokenize a hedge-fund-style altcoin trade: buying discounted locked tokens in OTC markets and hedging them. FinSMEs described the operator as Panama City, Panama-based. CoinDesk and FinSMEs reported a US$5 million seed in April 2025, led by STIX and Accomplice, with Behrin Naidoo as CEO.12
What is NUSD, and who issues it?
NUSD is Neutrl’s synthetic dollar. Neutrl’s own risk disclosure names CAVERNA AUCTUS INC. as the sole issuer of NUSD, and says there is a risk that the issuer may not be able, temporarily or permanently, to maintain reserves in a way that sustains full redemption obligations.3 August 2026 updates also name Caverna Auctus Inc as operator in later reporting.6
What is Fyde?
Fyde Treasury (fyde.fi, token TRSY) is a crypto treasury / liquid-vault protocol. Behrin Naidoo is a named co-founder. On 19 December 2023 it announced a US$3.2 million seed led by OP Crypto Ventures, with Arrington, Big Brain, and Merit Circle participating. Fyde docs at docs.fyde.fi have been flaky (500s); a live GitHub Pages fallback is fydetreasury.github.io/fyde-docs. DefiLlama still lists Fyde Protocol / TRSY — that is a listing, not a documented collapse, rug, hack, or official unwind.11181936
Who is Behrin Naidoo?
Public directories and press name Behrin Naidoo as Neutrl’s founder and CEO and, earlier, as a co-founder of Fyde Treasury (described as operating between 2022 and 2024). FinSMEs named him CEO of Neutrl in the April 2025 seed write-up. That is identity and career sequence, not a finding of misconduct.216
How does STIX / Taranveer Singh Sabharwal connect?
Documented, public facts: STIX and Accomplice led Neutrl’s April 2025 seed, as reported by CoinDesk.1 Taranveer Singh Sabharwal (Taran) is founder and CEO of STIX; STIX’s own 2023 seed was reported as US$2.7 million, with Psalion as lead and Big Brain participating.17 A third-party risk note — not Neutrl IR — described concentrated counterparty exposure to STIX as the OTC venue for discounted venture-locked tokens. That is a counterparty comment, not a management title.10 On 10 October 2025 Taran posted on X under “gNeutrl” amplifying desk language about STIX as the main locked-token OTC venue and a “favorable position if the portfolio should be scaled down during liquidity crunches.” That post is exhibit image5, not financing coverage. See the Taran-role answer.
What is not documented here: Taran investing in Fyde; Taran rugging Fyde or Neutrl; Taran sitting as Neutrl CEO or “shadow boss”; a STIX wallet making the alleged Curve LP withdrawal. Directory pages list Taran as a Fyde advisor; OP Crypto led Fyde’s seed after he had left that firm (he is listed as Head of DeFi Research there in 2021–2022).131412
What was Taran’s role at Neutrl?
Not Neutrl’s CEO, not co-founder, and not described as running the protocol. CoinDesk interviewed Behrin Naidoo as Neutrl’s co-founder; FinSMEs names Naidoo CEO.12 In April 2025 STIX and Accomplice led a US$5 million seed. Taranveer Singh Sabharwal is founder and CEO of STIX. A Neutrl fundraising deck used in that raise describes Taran as “Founding Advisor, CEO of STIX,” and says Neutrl’s partnership with STIX “brings the best OTC execution at scale.” That is the strongest document title we have for him at Neutrl: founding advisor and the OTC partner’s CEO, not Neutrl officer. The deck is not hosted here. Public press does not put him on Neutrl’s officer list. Whether STIX or Taran holds shares in CAVERNA AUCTUS INC. is not shown on any public cap table opened for this page.25
On 10 October 2025 Taran posted on X (“gNeutrl”) that STIX was the main venue for locked-token OTC sales, had co-led the seed with Accomplice, secured exclusive OTC allocations, and put Neutrl in a “favorable position if the portfolio should be scaled down during liquidity crunches.” That post is image5, copied from the STIX investor record (Exhibit 13). It is Taran amplifying desk language, not a news clip, and not proof that a STIX wallet caused the 2026 pause. Pause coverage generally does not name him.46
What happened in August 2026?
On 13 August 2026 Neutrl said it had paused minting, redemptions and other functions over circumstances affecting reserves. CryptoBriefing (13 Aug) and Cointelegraph (14 Aug) report the pause. CryptoBriefing lists STIX among 2025 investors, not as operator.244
BlockTempo, 14 August 2026, documented the on-chain sequence: at 19:12 Taipei on 13 August, about 1,578,976 USDC and 1,933,079 NUSD (≈ US$3.51 million) were pulled from the Ethereum Curve NUSD/USDC pool; 96 seconds later address 0xDE72…1504 called addToDenylist on NUSD with that pool as the parameter. BlockTempo says isDenylisted then returned true. The caller is not identified here as a STIX wallet; “team wallet” remains alleged. Full caller and LP-remove transaction hashes were not published in the sources opened here.33
Strata then paused its Neutrl market (srNUSD / jrNUSD on sNUSD). Other Strata markets stayed up. See the Strata FAQ.344
Odaily, 14 August 2026 reported comments disabled and Discord channels deleted, that Accountable’s proof-of-solvency page went dark, and that Altura and Main Street — also shown on Accountable — had paused withdrawals. Those are reported community and vendor facts, not a finding that Neutrl rugged anyone.209
On 28–29 August, CryptoTimes put liquid assets at about US$27 million against a previously cited ~US$137 million collateral book and described a new early-September redemption contract. As of 3 September 2026 that contract is not live.67
What is alleged versus documented?
Documented (press, listings, the project’s own docs): April 2025 Neutrl seed led by STIX and Accomplice; Naidoo as CEO; CAVERNA AUCTUS INC. as sole NUSD issuer; 13–14 August 2026 pause of minting and redemptions; later ~US$27 million liquid vs previously cited ~US$137 million book; BlockTempo’s Curve-pool and denylist sequence; Fyde’s December 2023 seed; DefiLlama still listing Fyde/TRSY; Fyde docs (canonical URL flaky; GitHub Pages fallback live).
Alleged (not proven on this page): that Neutrl is a rug, hack, or scam; that a team wallet pulled ~US$3.5 million from a Curve LP minutes before the freeze; that Fyde dumped on retail or “went to zero” as a rug; that Taranveer Singh Sabharwal or a STIX wallet executed the Curve withdrawal. StartupFortune alleged the Curve pull and names STIX only as a 2025 investor. That allegation is not proven, and this page does not imply a STIX wallet did it.9
Did Taran invest in Fyde? Did he rug Fyde?
This page does not say that Taran invested in Fyde, and it does not say that he rugged Fyde. A third-party directory lists “Taran Sabharwal / Advisor” on a Fyde page; directories are not investor-relations pages. OP Crypto Ventures led Fyde’s seed in December 2023; that firm rebranded as Inception Capital in January 2024; a directory lists Taran as Head of DeFi Research there in 2021–2022 — before the Fyde seed.14111213 No public filing reviewed for this page puts Taran, or Neutrl institutional LPs (Accomplice, Amber, Nascent, Figment, Guy Young), on Fyde’s cap table.
Did a STIX wallet pull the Curve LP?
Not established. StartupFortune alleged a ~US$3.5 million Curve LP withdrawal by a team wallet minutes before the freeze. The same piece names STIX only as a 2025 investor. HTX and Odaily repeated similar community reporting. BlockTempo documents the pool pull and the 96-second denylist write; it does not identify the caller as a STIX wallet. This page does not treat the pull as proven and does not imply a STIX wallet made it.982033
Are Neutrl’s other seed investors accused here?
No. CoinDesk and FinSMEs named additional participants in the April 2025 seed, including Amber Group, SCB Limited (reported as SIG / Susquehanna), Figment Capital, Nascent, and angels including Ethena founder Guy Young, Steven Shi of Ethena, and Joshua Lim. Those names appear because they are in the press release coverage. This page is not alleging that any of them are rug or fraud defendants, and a public search for this briefing did not find them named as such.12
Is Fyde a documented collapse?
No. Do not read this page as calling Fyde a rug, a hack, or an official unwind. DefiLlama still lists Fyde Protocol / TRSY, with TVL in the low six figures on that listing. Docs at docs.fyde.fi have been flaky; the GitHub Pages fallback remains live. Separate price pages report TRSY has fallen about 99.8% from an April 2024 all-time high; that is price history, not a legal finding. Community talk that FYDE/TRSY “dumped” or “went to zero” around the Neutrl pause is labelled here as community allegation, not a finding.1819362120
What are people comparing between Fyde/TRSY and Neutrl/NUSD?
The same architect, two products, two liquidity events. Behrin Naidoo is a named Fyde co-founder and Neutrl’s founder/CEO.11216 That is the documented overlap. What people are comparing is alleged.
On Neutrl: an official pause of minting and redemptions on 13–14 August 2026 over an undisclosed reserve issue;424 an alleged ~US$3.5 million Curve LP pull about 14 minutes prior by a suspected team wallet;209 comments disabled and Discord deleted, as reported by Odaily.20
On Fyde: Odaily, 14 August 2026, recorded community accusations that Neutrl team members had previously been involved in FYDE/TRSY dumps that “went to zero.” Odaily itself says that is community discussion, not evidence.20 DefiLlama still lists TRSY at low six-figure TVL; docs.fyde.fi has been flaky and the GitHub Pages fallback is live; there is no official unwind filing on this record. Reported TRSY price collapse from an April 2024 ATH is market history, not a proven rug.181921
This page does not write “Fyde rugged” or “Neutrl rugged” as fact. The questions it leaves open: is that one founder, two products, and two liquidity events a pattern, or two separate stories that share a name? Does the overlapping STIX / OP Crypto / Big Brain graph change the reading, or is it coincidence? See What people are comparing.
How much is unaccounted for in liquid form?
As much as roughly US$110 million of the previously reported collateral is currently unaccounted for in immediately recoverable liquidity, although it has not been established that the full amount was lost. Neutrl says the remainder sits in illiquid strategy positions whose timing, amount and ultimate recovery value it cannot yet determine.6
“Illiquid / unrecovered” is not the same as “lost.” That ~$110 million could ultimately break down into recovered principal, realized trading losses, counterparty defaults, valuation markdowns, expenses or withdrawals — or virtually any other mix. Outsiders do not know. Those sub-buckets are not published.
What makes the wording alarming is the absence of a lockup schedule. If they simply held $110 million of healthy assets subject to a dated restriction, one would expect language like: remaining amounts are invested with counterparties and expected to mature on these dates. Instead they say they cannot confirm the amount or recovery value. That puts principal impairment genuinely on the table, not merely temporary illiquidity. That is an inference from the missing schedule, not Neutrl’s word — Neutrl has not admitted impairment.
The arithmetic: CryptoTimes (29 Aug 2026) ~US$27 million liquid versus a ~US$137 million book a June dashboard had shown. That is not $131 million, and it is not a proven haul. Peak deposits (~$200 million at launch) and TVL near pause (~$53.3 million) are different series. A separate alleged figure is ~US$3.5 million from Curve minutes before the freeze — not proven, not attributed here to a STIX wallet.209
What is the early-September redemption?
A promised new early-redemption contract for NUSD and sNUSD — not a reopening of the original mint/redeem, which stays paused. Neutrl (28–29 August 2026) said the new contract is subject to a new deploy, an independent audit, and legal and financial review. As of 3 September 2026 the early-September window Neutrl named has opened and nothing is live.67
About US$27 million is the liquid figure they put against a previously cited ~US$137 million book. CryptoTimes, citing analyst Googly, described sNUSD yield-takers as treated pari passu with NUSD because there was no explicit tranching; Odaily reported Neutrl as “treating all holders equally.” That is the reported legal shape, not a court order. Neutrl told holders not to trade NUSD or sNUSD while the assessment continues. This is a promised process, not a 1:1 payout of the $137 million book, and not a promise of full recovery.
Separately, CryptoTimes recorded sNUSD trading near $0.5582 on thin Uniswap — about 46.9% off accreted value. That is a secondary-market dislocation, not the official redemption price.
Taipei 13 August 2026, 19:12: about 1,578,976 USDC and 1,933,079 NUSD were pulled (≈ US$3.51 million), nearly the whole pool. Ninety-six seconds later (19:13:59 Taipei), address 0xDE72…1504 called addToDenylist on NUSD with the pool as parameter. BlockTempo says isDenylisted returned true; the contract has DENYLIST_MANAGER_ROLE. The peg then sat near 0.998 because no one could trade the pool. “Team wallet” remains alleged. This page does not call the caller a STIX wallet. We do not have the full caller address or the LP-remove / denylist transaction hashes, and we do not invent them.33
Is a blockchain ledger forensic investigation underway?
Yes. Address clustering and flow mapping around the NUSD/Curve/denylist sequence, and related on-chain activity, is in progress. That work is not finished. This page does not preview unpublished wallet maps, clustering, or flow conclusions, and it still does not attribute the Curve pull to a STIX wallet.
Did anyone else pause?
Yes. After 13 August 2026, Strata paused minting, redemptions and related functions on its Neutrl market — the srNUSD and jrNUSD tranche tokens that sit on sNUSD. Strata said other markets stayed up. Cointelegraph, The Defiant, and CryptoTimes all report that scoped pause.4346
The Defiant’s then-Etherscan reading was about US$1.4 million srNUSD and about US$308,000 jrNUSD. Those are Defiant’s figures at their reading, not live TVL.
Did anyone flag this before the pause?
Yes. In February 2026 — about six months before the freeze — risk advisory BA Labs assessed Neutrl for a proposed Higher-Risk vault integration. It classified Neutrl as appropriate only for a higher-risk allocation because of counterparty, operational/management, and liquidity risk, including OTC positions that were closed/off-chain. A March 2026 Summer.fi SIP quotes that BA Labs assessment. Cointelegraph (14 Aug 2026) reported the same February review: more than 87% of reserves held through Fireblocks, smaller amounts on CEXes; NUSD supply then about US$226 million against about US$233.7 million in reserves (≈103.6% collateralization); direct redemptions limited to KYC/KYB counterparties; larger requests in an unguaranteed 48-hour queue. That is contemporaneous risk language, not hindsight.26274
What did Fyde tell depositors?
Fyde’s own docs describe TRSY as representing vault assets and as redeemable for liquid assets from the vault; contemporaneous explainers said TRSY was 1:1 backed at deposit. In a February 2024 Aave governance temp-check, Fyde wrote that deposits remain fully liquid and can be withdrawn at any time, and that it was distributing FYDE points with an airdrop in Q2 2024. That is what depositors were told, on the record. It is not a finding that those promises were kept.192829
What did Neutrl advertise before the pause?
Behrin Naidoo posted that Neutrl Labs’ private beta had reached US$50 million in total deposits (LinkedIn, 12 August 2025). Odaily later said the protocol had attracted over US$200 million. Those marketing/milestone numbers sit against the August 2026 disclosure of about US$27 million liquid. A 3 December 2025 Stabledash item that reported US$150 million three weeks after public launch 404s as of 3 September 2026 and is not used as a live cite.3020631
How is this page different from the STIX investor record?
The STIX page is a broader founder, SAFE, and communication record. MVMT / STIX SAFE questions belong there, not here, except this one sentence pointing at it. This briefing is only Neutrl + Fyde, with a FAQ and sources. It is a separate page from the STIX investor record at taran-stix-fraud.com.23
Who sits where
A people/entity map of what the public sources actually support. Dashed lines are directory or Neutrl-deck titles, not a public Caverna cap table. The Neutrl–Caverna issuer line is solid because Neutrl’s own risk disclosure names CAVERNA AUCTUS INC. as sole issuer; the cap table is still unknown. Taran is not drawn as Neutrl CEO.
Documented: Naidoo founded Fyde then Neutrl; STIX and Accomplice co-led Neutrl’s seed; OP Crypto led Fyde’s seed; Big Brain is on Fyde and on STIX. Deck (dashed): Taran as Neutrl “Founding Advisor, CEO of STIX.” Issuer (solid): Caverna Auctus Inc. Unknown: Caverna shareholders.
The numbers
As much as roughly US$110 million of the previously reported collateral is currently unaccounted for in immediately recoverable liquidity, although it has not been established that the full amount was lost. Neutrl says the remainder sits in illiquid strategy positions whose timing, amount and ultimate recovery value it cannot yet determine. That is more precise than “$110 million is missing.” It also leaves room for recovery, losses, defaults, markdowns, or expenses in unknown mix. The inability to state a maturity schedule is what puts principal impairment on the table — an inference, not Neutrl’s word — not a lockup they can date.
CryptoTimes, citing a 7 June dashboard strip that D2 Finance attributed to Neutrl, listed among the line items Fireblocks US$41.96 million, Bybit US$35.77 million, Binance US$21.19 million, and OTC Aggregate US$12.52 million. Those four sum to about US$111.4 million, not the full ~$137 million book — they are among the line items on that snapshot, not a claim that they were the whole book. D2 alleged unusual withdrawals since June; that remains an allegation. Separately, BA Labs via Cointelegraph (14 August 2026) said the February 2026 review found more than 87% of reserves held through Fireblocks, with smaller amounts on CEXes.64
Sources: Odaily 14 Aug 2026 (peak deposits / ~$53.3m TVL); CryptoTimes 29 Aug 2026 (~$27m liquid vs ~$137m book). Bars scaled to $200 million = full width.
Neutrl, on its own
Looked at without Fyde: Neutrl raised US$5 million in seed funding in April 2025 to tokenize a hedge-fund-style altcoin OTC trade through NUSD. CoinDesk (16 April 2025) and FinSMEs (18 April 2025) both report the round as led by STIX and Accomplice. FinSMEs names Behrin Naidoo as CEO and describes Neutrl as Panama City, Panama-based.12
Neutrl’s general risk disclosures name ZERO DELTA FOUNDATION and CAVERNA AUCTUS INC., and state that CAVERNA AUCTUS INC. is the sole issuer of NUSD. The same page discloses issuer risk: the issuer may not be able to maintain reserves in a way that sustains full redemptions.3
Six months earlier, BA Labs had already put Neutrl in a Higher-Risk bucket. A March 2026 Summer.fi proposal to onboard staked nUSD quotes BA Labs: high counterparty and operational risk; the strategy belonged only in a strictly higher-risk fleet. Cointelegraph’s write-up of that February assessment cites more than 87% of reserves through Fireblocks, ~US$226 million NUSD supply vs ~US$233.7 million reserves, KYC/KYB-gated redemptions, and an unguaranteed 48-hour queue when requests exceeded the liquid buffer. OTC/off-chain positions were the point of the higher-risk label — not a surprise invented in August.26274
On 13 August 2026 Neutrl paused minting, redemptions, and other protocol functions over an undisclosed reserve issue. CryptoBriefing that day lists STIX among 2025 investors. Cointelegraph (14 Aug) does not name STIX or Taran. An HTX syndication of the pause report likewise does not turn the pause into a proven rug.245 A separate HTX item — “Rug Pull, Hacked, or Scammed?” — used a speculative headline and named STIX as 2025 seed lead. Headline language is not a finding.8
BlockTempo documented the Curve pool pull and the 96-second denylist write (see the depeg FAQ). Strata paused only its Neutrl market. Odaily’s 14 August 2026 piece reports comments on the official X post disabled and Discord chat channels deleted, community allegations that team members had been involved with FYDE/TRSY (Odaily: community discussion, not evidence), Accountable’s Neutrl proof-of-solvency page going dark, and later pauses at Altura and Main Street.333420
On 28–29 August 2026, CryptoTimes reported about US$27 million in liquid assets against a previously cited ~US$137 million collateral book and named Caverna Auctus Inc. The same piece reports that on-chain research desk D2 Finance pressed Neutrl on those numbers, alleged unusual withdrawal patterns back to June, and asked how many insiders may have known since then. Independent analyst Googly’s “likely insolvent for weeks” line is the same kind of allegation, not a finding on this page. Odaily’s later flash said an early-September redemption for NUSD and sNUSD holders was planned, subject to a new contract, independent audit, and legal and financial review. As of 3 September 2026 that redemption is not live.67
StartupFortune alleged the same ~US$3.5 million Curve LP pull by a team wallet minutes before the freeze. The allegation is not proven. The piece names STIX as a 2025 investor only. This briefing does not treat a STIX wallet as the withdrawing wallet.9
A third-party pre-pause risk note on Hindenrank — not a Neutrl IR page — described concentrated counterparty exposure to STIX as the OTC venue for discounted venture-locked tokens. That is a risk comment about a desk, not proof that STIX caused the August pause. The open question, which this page leaves open: was STIX only a lead cheque, or also the OTC desk the book depended on?10
Cointelegraph noted that in May 2025 the verification vendor Accountable said its Neutrl dashboard provided cryptographic proof of reserves. After the pause, Odaily and HTX reported that Accountable’s Neutrl solvency page was no longer functioning. The vendor URL is accountable.neutrl.finance. That is third-party / community reporting about a vendor dashboard, not Neutrl IR, and it is not independently archived here.482035
Public X post by Taranveer Singh Sabharwal, 10 October 2025 (“gNeutrl”): STIX as the main venue for locked-token OTC sales, co-led the seed with Accomplice, exclusive OTC allocations, “favorable position if the portfolio should be scaled down during liquidity crunches.” Copied from the STIX investor record (Exhibit 13). It is Taran amplifying desk language, not a news clip. Not proof that a STIX wallet caused the 2026 pause.
Fyde, on its own
Looked at without Neutrl: Fyde Treasury is a liquid-vault / treasury-management protocol (fyde.fi, TRSY). BusinessWire, 19 December 2023, reported a US$3.2 million seed led by OP Crypto Ventures, with Arrington Capital, Big Brain Holdings, and Merit Circle DAO, and named Behrin Naidoo among the co-founders.11
OP Crypto rebranded as Inception Capital on 16 January 2024.12 A third-party investor directory lists Taran as Head of DeFi Research at that firm in 2021–2022 — that is, he had left before the Fyde seed.13 CryptoTotem, a directory rather than Fyde IR, lists “Taran Sabharwal / Advisor.”14
On 7 August 2023, Naidoo posted on LinkedIn that Fyde co-hosted an EthCC Paris 2023 event with STIX and OP Crypto; Sabharwal commented on that post. That is a public social/event overlap, not a cap-table fact.15
IQ.wiki’s Behrin Naidoo page describes him as Neutrl founder/CEO and, prior to that, co-founder of Fyde Treasury (2022–2024). Treat the wiki as a directory-style secondary page, not IR.16
Behrin Naidoo’s contemporaneous pitch is on the record. In a HackerNoon interview he described Fyde as a London Business School project built after failures such as FTX, specifically as treasury management so projects would not have to dump native tokens. Fyde’s docs and the Aave temp-check are how depositors were told the product worked: liquid, withdrawable, TRSY as vault share, FYDE points toward a Q2 2024 token. CoinCodex/CoinDataFlow still show the ~99.8% drawdown from the April 2024 ATH; DefiLlama still lists the protocol at low TVL. Trading vanishing from a tracker is market aftermath, not a court finding.32282118
Fyde documentation at docs.fyde.fi has been flaky (500s). A live GitHub Pages fallback, linked from the Aave thread, is fydetreasury.github.io/fyde-docs. DefiLlama still lists Fyde Protocol (TRSY). Those facts are why this page does not describe Fyde as a rug, hack, or official unwind.193618
Third-party price pages report TRSY’s all-time high around US$1.73–1.74 on 9 April 2024, and a subsequent decline on the order of ~99.8% from that high. That is reported price history, not a legal finding that Fyde rugged depositors.2122
Odaily and HTX both recorded community comments, around the Neutrl pause, alleging that team members had previously been involved with FYDE/TRSY and that those tokens dumped or went to zero. Those comments are community allegations. They are not a finding on this page.208
What people are comparing
Readers have put the alleged Fyde/TRSY dump next to the alleged Neutrl NUSD freeze. This section draws that parallel as questions, not a verdict. It does not state that Fyde rugged anyone, or that Neutrl rugged anyone.
Fyde / TRSY
Behrin Naidoo is a named co-founder of Fyde Treasury (2023 seed; described as operating 2022–2024).1116
No official unwind, rug filing, or hack disclosure is on this record. DefiLlama still lists Fyde Protocol / TRSY at low six-figure TVL. Documentation at docs.fyde.fi has been flaky; the GitHub Pages fallback is live.181936
Third-party price pages report TRSY down on the order of ~99.8% from an April 2024 all-time high. That is price history, not a legal finding.2122
Odaily, 14 August 2026, recorded community accusations that Neutrl team members had previously dumped FYDE/TRSY on retail until the tokens went to zero. Odaily states those accusations come from community discussion and are not direct evidence of the Neutrl incident.20
Neutrl / NUSD
Behrin Naidoo is named founder and CEO of Neutrl. CAVERNA AUCTUS INC. is the sole issuer of NUSD on Neutrl’s own disclosures.23
On 13–14 August 2026 Neutrl officially paused minting and redemptions over an undisclosed reserve issue. STIX appears in pause coverage as 2025 seed lead.4248
Odaily and StartupFortune alleged a ~US$3.5 million Curve LP withdrawal about 14 minutes before the freeze by a suspected team wallet. BlockTempo documented the pool pull and the 96-second denylist. The team-wallet allegation is not proven, and this page does not attribute the wallet to STIX.20933
Odaily also reported that comments on the official X post were disabled and Discord channels deleted, and that Accountable’s proof-of-solvency page went dark. Later reporting put about US$27 million liquid against a previously cited ~US$137 million book.206
The overlapping graph, which is documented and is not itself a finding of theft: same founder; Fyde’s seed led by OP Crypto (Taranveer Singh Sabharwal’s former firm) with Big Brain participating; STIX (Taran founder/CEO) co-led Neutrl’s seed, with Big Brain also on STIX’s own seed; EthCC 2023 co-hosted by Fyde with STIX and OP Crypto.11121317115
Same architect, two products: does that, by itself, make the second event a repeat of the first — or two separate books that share a founder?
Two liquidity events: an alleged TRSY dump/price collapse, and an alleged NUSD freeze plus Curve LP pull. One has no official unwind on this record; the other has an official pause and an unproven on-chain allegation. Are they the same kind of event?
Overlapping STIX / OP Crypto / Big Brain graph: coincidence of a small market, or a desk and a cheque that should be read together? The public record does not close that question.
Overlap / coincidence
The following are questions the public record actually supports asking. They are not a combined verdict that one person rugged two protocols. Taran’s Neutrl title is in the FAQ.
Same founder. Behrin Naidoo: Fyde co-founder, then Neutrl founder/CEO.11216
Shared event graph. EthCC Paris 2023: Naidoo said Fyde co-hosted with STIX and OP Crypto; Taranveer Singh Sabharwal commented.15
Shared capital graph. Big Brain appears on Fyde’s seed and on STIX’s US$2.7 million seed. STIX and Accomplice later led Neutrl’s seed. Shared LP names are coincidences until a filing says otherwise; they are not proof of a joint scheme.11171
Advisor listing vs investment. Directories list Taranveer Singh Sabharwal as a Fyde advisor. His former firm led Fyde’s seed after he left. This page does not convert that into “Taran invested in Fyde” or “Taran rugged Fyde.”1413
Sequence. Fyde seed 2023 → Neutrl seed 2025 (STIX co-led) → NUSD pause August 2026. Community alleged a rug and a Curve LP pull; STIX is named as 2025 seed lead and, in a third-party risk note, as OTC counterparty.
Open question, not a verdict. Was STIX only a lead cheque, or also the OTC desk the NUSD book depended on? Documented: seed lead + Hindenrank counterparty note. Unknown: whether that desk relationship, if it existed in the book, caused the reserve issue.
What is missing. No public filing reviewed here puts Taran or Neutrl’s named institutional LPs on Fyde’s cap table. No source opened for this page proves that a STIX wallet made the alleged Curve withdrawal.

Neutrl pauses NUSD minting and redemptions (CryptoBriefing, 13 Aug; Cointelegraph, 14 Aug). BlockTempo: ≈ US$3.51 million pulled from Curve NUSD/USDC at 19:12 Taipei; 96 seconds later the pool written to NUSD’s denylist. Strata pauses its Neutrl market. Odaily and StartupFortune allege a team-address Curve pull — not proven, and not attributed here to a STIX wallet. Odaily also reports comments disabled, Discord deleted, Accountable’s PoS page going dark, and Altura/Main Street pauses.24433342098
Neutrl, as reported by CryptoTimes and Odaily: about US$27 million liquid against a previously cited ~US$137 million book; new early-September redemption contract promised, subject to deploy, audit, and legal/financial review. Original mint/redeem stays paused.67
The early-September window Neutrl named has opened; the new redemption is not live. A blockchain ledger forensic investigation (address clustering and flow mapping) is underway; unpublished findings are not on this page. This page compiled. Fyde/TRSY remains listed on DefiLlama; Fyde docs.fyde.fi has been flaky; GitHub Pages fallback is live.1836
